The Many Benefits of Taking Sally’s Class Multiple Times A Week

Anyone who has taken a class from Sally knows first-hand the myriad of benefits that she gives us … a greater awareness of how our bodies work as well as a deep sense of mindfulness, and relaxation. We quickly realize that Sally’s teachings are a master class of anatomy; she provides keen insights into the interrelationship of the various functions of our bodies, including where we store tension as she guides us through how to release it. Her expert instruction and micro-adjustments explain the nuances of each pose in a manner that maximizes their benefits, while accommodating our varying abilities and interspersing gentle oral cues to remind us to be patient with ourselves and to be open to life’s blessings.

I initially took Sally’s class once a week, then twice a week and now three times a week. This repetition allows me to leverage the gains of each class into beneficial and sustainable new habits and outcomes. Recalling her class prompts throughout the week helps remind me to stay mindful, breathe deeply, and to properly align my body during the course of each day. These improvements have given better posture, more diaphragmatic breathing, greater strength and balance, supple joints, more lithe and sculpted muscles, emotional healing, and greater physical and inner grace.

I often come into Sally’s class with a mental check list of “to dos” and/or concerns running in a loop in my mind, but, quickly during the course of her class, my internal chatter is wiped away and I feel a powerful sense of peace wash over me. I walk out of class marveling at the beauty of the sunlight dappling on the foliage, the feel of the sun on my skin, the breeze across my face, and a deep appreciation for nature’s bounty. And I end each practice with a mudra of gratitude for the peace in my body, the many blessings in my life, and for Sally for giving me access to it all. Sally’s class is a true gift.
