Week Two Preparing for the Great World Race

Dear all!

I am very happy to report that my week of running went fairly well even though I ran the first half of the week with caution. However, I was able to push three consecutive days of long run without any issues.

I ran a total of 94 miles, spent a few hours in a gym, and some time doing prehab work to keep my joints supple.

This week is relatively easier than last week. I will be focusing more on speed workouts and less on back-to-back long runs with the target of running around 70 miles.

I finally took Monday off from running in a while. In some ways I felt good, but in other ways I felt restless. I was excited to run the next day and see how my body did after a rest day.

I will report to you next week on how am I progressing with the intention of running a Sub-3 (under 3 hours) New York Marathon as a test run for the seven marathons.

Thank you, and here is my data for last week.
